Season One Final Standings

^ Player earned the title, "Master Killer," for defeating Commander Cromat in battle.  This title can only be earned once per season and only to one player.

^^ Player earned the title, "Dragon Slayer," for defeating Commander Scion of the Ur-Dragon in battle.  This title can only be earned once per season and only to one player.

We did it!  Season One of the Money G Commander's League is over!!!  Saturday's battles were intense, with the added Conspiracy twist that was thrown at our combatants last week.  We crowned both Bill Slee and "Wurm" Giuttari as our Kings of Commander for not just winning their matches but for doing so while keeping the title of Monarch throughout the match.  And now....even though all you Planeswalkers are winners....

WE HAVE A CHAMPION TO ANNOUNCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• Third place goes to Jonathon Haber and his Commander, Child of Alara.  Jon was a fantastic player, and was the only player to dare to try to master all colors of Magic!! And he DID!!  Congrats Jon on a great run.

• Our runner up this season is Wurm Giuttari!!!  He and his Commander, Meren of Clan Nel-Toth took this season by storm, tallying up the most wins this season at 13.  His mastery over using his graveyard as a resource for controlling the field was a sight to behold.  Congratulations Wurm on your stellar performance this season.

• And now...the winner and CHAMPION of this first season of Money G's Commander's League is... JASON NICOLAS!!!! Jason started out this season with some rough battles, and very few points.  But over this course of these 8 weeks, he has modified, studied and perfected his mastery over Green and Red mana and subdued the mighty Xenagos, God of Revels as his Commander.  The second half of the season proved to be his month as he not only tallied up 12 wins, but succeeded in becoming our highest point earner, with 89 points!!!  Jason was a true sight to behold as he continued to utilize the power of the Theros god and the hydras of lore to completely decimate his foes.  Jason, on behalf of all of us at Money G's, we are truly grateful to have been witness to your rise to stardom!

• Top 2 prize winners can pick their prizes up starting Monday, April 18, 2017.  The third place prize will be sent directly to the recipient via email, please contact the store to provide your email and confirm receipt of your prize.  If you winners have any questions, please contact the store.

These custom abacus are created from actual Magic: The Gathering cards and can be used for life, mana or storm counting.  Or you can simply count up those wins.  haha.  This prize is a $150 value!!

All League players that made the 8-week commitment will receive a set of 3 Magic: The Gathering promo cards, to celebrate their dedication and the first season of the new Commander's League!

All through the league, we gave out weekly booster prizes, and total prize payout for this first season was over $1200 in boosters and prizes.  Congratulations to all those that won weekly boosters throughout the league!!  We hope to make next season even bigger with more players and bigger prizes.
